Who is online

Admins (and anyone with user-management access) can see who is online right now on the Manage users page. The list is based on active sessions, not guesswork — if someone is signed in, their device and network details appear here.

Use this when you need to audit access, find a stuck session, or confirm that a shared account is not open on an unexpected machine.

  1. Open the account menu.
  2. Choose Manage users.
  3. Stay on the Users tab.

At the top you will see an online banner: how many users are online now, with a short note that sessions refresh periodically.

FieldMeaning
Online countHow many users currently have an active session
Green / gray dotOnline vs offline for that person
Device labelFriendly browser and OS, for example “Chrome on macOS”
IP addressNetwork address recorded at login / session
Last activeWhen the session was last seen (updates as they use the app)
Status badgeonline, offline, or disabled

If someone is offline, you may still see last login time instead of live session details. If they have never logged in, the row says so.

Online means there is a valid active session for that user. CXGear allows only one active session per user. So:

  • One person → at most one online row of session detail
  • Signing in on a new device ends the previous session (after Continue here when required)
  • Sign out clears the session so they drop off the online list

The users list refreshes on a short interval (about every 15 seconds) while you keep the page open, and whenever you reload.

  • Security — unexpected device or IP for a privileged account
  • Support — confirm whether an agent is actually signed in before troubleshooting dialler presence
  • Seat hygiene — see who is active before disabling unused accounts

This is not a full call-center wallboard. For live call presence (available / on call), use the Dialler agent desk.

  • Banner count matches the number of green “online” rows
  • Online rows show device, IP, and a recent last-active time
  • After someone signs out or is replaced on another device, they move to offline within the next refresh
